How to make a QR code for Instagram and social media
Grow your following offline: a code on a flyer, stall, or storefront that opens your profile in one scan.
A social media QR code links straight to your profile on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, or any network. Instead of asking people to search your handle, they scan and land on your page, ready to follow.
Get your profile link
Every network gives each profile a web address. A few examples of the shape:
- Instagram:
https://instagram.com/yourhandle - TikTok:
https://tiktok.com/@yourhandle - YouTube: your channel URL
- LinkedIn: your public profile URL
Open the app or site, go to your profile, and copy the full link from the browser or the share menu.
Turn it into a QR code
- Paste the profile link into the generator in QR code mode.
- Drop a matching social logo in the center from the built-in set, or upload your own.
- Pick colors that fit your brand while keeping strong contrast.
- Download and add it to your designs.
One code, many links?
A single QR code points to one address. If you want people to reach several profiles from one scan, link the code to a simple “links” landing page that lists them all, and put that page’s URL in the code.
Good places to show it
- Market stalls, pop-ups, and storefront windows.
- Flyers, business cards, and product packaging.
- Event slides and the end screen of a video.
- Name badges at conferences and meetups.
Everything is generated in your browser and the code never expires. Create a social QR code, or make a contact QR code too.
