What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores text, links, and other data in a grid of black and white squares. A phone camera reads it in any orientation, which is why QR codes are used for menus, payments, tickets, business cards, and Wi-Fi sharing. This generator uses error correction level M by default and automatically steps up to level H when you add a center logo, so the code still scans.
What is a Code 128 barcode?
Code 128 is a compact, high-density linear barcode that encodes all 128 ASCII characters: letters, digits, and common symbols. It is widely used for shipping labels, inventory, and product tracking. Switch to the Barcode tab to generate one; the tool validates your input and warns you if a character cannot be encoded.
How to generate your code

- Optional: add a logo, pick a background color, or invert the colors.

Choose any background color with the picker or a hex value, and the module color adjusts automatically so the code stays scannable. The whole interface supports light and dark themes.
Private by design
Nothing you type is uploaded, stored, or tracked. The QR and barcode rendering happens entirely on your device using your browser, so your data never reaches a server. That makes it safe for links, contact details, and Wi-Fi passwords alike.
